Thea Baumbach (Guitar)

is a classical guitarist from Magdeburg/Germany. She is currently studying the post graduate performance degree Konzertexamen with her sister Anne Baumbach (flute) at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT in Weimar. Her master's degree she recieved with distinction in October 2016 as a student of Prof. Ricardo Gallén in Weimar. During her master studies she also studied cultural management as a profile and is currently teaching at the State Music School of Erfurt. From 2009 to 2014 she completed her respective with Prof. Thomas Müller-Pering. Within this time she studied one year in Finland at the “University of Applied Sciences Turku” in the class of Timo Korhonen. Since November 2012 she has been a scholarship holder of the non-profit association Yehudi Menuhin – Live Music Now Weimar e. V., where she is working to get music to people who otherwise can not go to a concert. In preparation for her musical persuits Thea Baumbach, as a young student in Magdeburg, recieved lessons from Elke Scheibner respectively.
