Anne Baumbach (flute)

is a classical flutist from Magdeburg/Germany. Together with her twin sister Thea Baumbach (guitar) she is studying the post graduate performance degree Konzertexamen at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT in Weimar.Together with the Thuringian Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Oliver Weder, Anne Baumbach will play as soloist in December 2018 in Rudolstadt, Saalfeld and Lehesten. Anne Baumbach received her master's degree with distinction as a scholarship holder of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) at the University of Music Basel in the class of Prof. Felix Renggli in June 2016. In May 2016 Anne Baumbach played at the European Soloists' Festival in Caracas and performed as a soloist with the Simon Bolivar Orchestra under the direction of Diego Matheuz. From 2009 to 2014 she studied and received her diploma in the class of Professor Wally Hase at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT in Weimar. Within this time she studied for one year in France at the “Académie de musique superieure Strasbourg” with the principal flutist of the Philharmonic Strasbourg Sandrine François. As a member of the Bundesjugendorchester, as a substitute for the Staatskapelle Weimar and as assistance in numerous orchestras, Anne Baumbach has accumulated many orchestral experiences. From 2004 to 2009 Anne attended the Music High school “Schloss Belvedere” in Weimar. In the flute class of Benjamin Plag, Anne Baumbach won for several times the first prize of the competition "Jugend musiziert". Since November 2012 Anne Baumbach is scholarship holder of the public charity Yehudi Menuhin – Live Music Now Weimar e.V., where she works to ensure that music reaches people who have no opportunity to attend a concert. From September 2016 until July 2018 Anne Baumbach was working at the "Musikwerk Erfurt". Since August 2017 Anne Baumbach works at the Musikschule des Saale-Holzlandkreises. Since August 2018 Anne Baumbach works at the Musikschule der Stadt Erfurt.
